My last book, like my other books, is out of print. They’re all occasionally available on Amazon and other platforms. Filled with my photos, Fearless Photographer: Nature, is part instructional and part inspirational. The text covers the iconic subjects: landscape, wildlife, and macro photography, as well as composition, exposure and equipment, and a variety of other topics are explored. Together, the images and words show how to use a camera to connect personally and artistically with the world around around us.
I supplied many of the photographs (along with photographers like Fritz Lanting and Galen Rowell) as well as the text for this book about the crown jewel of national parks in the United States.
Backroads of Northern California
My first book offers a cornucopia of beautiful locations, some well-known and some obscure, in the northern half of the "Golden State." History and some personal stories of my time on the road accompany my photographs, and there are plenty of detailed directions and maps. Visit places that range from the edge of the Great Desert Basin to the edge of the Pacific Ocean, from volcanoes and snow-capped peaks to pine forests and tide pools, from historic towns and beautiful campgrounds to wildlife preserves and fields of glorious flowers.

The companion to my book about Northern California, this book contains a selection of roads and stories about destinations worth exploring in the southern half of the state, from the mountains, to the desert, to the sea. My photographs will take you to see national and state parks, giant sequoias and wildflowers, sea lions and starfish, castles, churches, cattle ranches and cacti.
